The core principle of the disposable circumcision stapler is simultaneous circular cutting and automatic stapling.
The redundant foreskin is clamped between the glans cover (anvil) and the staple cartridge with a cutting knife. When fired, the circular blade resects the foreskin instantly, while a single row of titanium staples penetrates the inner and outer foreskin layers and is crimped into a "B" shape to achieve hemostasis and anastomosis. The whole procedure is finished within minutes.
Working Principle & Specifications of Disposable Circumcision Stapler
1. Working Principle
The core principle of the disposable circumcision stapler is
simultaneous circular cutting and automatic stapling.
The redundant foreskin is clamped between the
glans cover (anvil) and the staple cartridge with a cutting knife. When fired, the
circular blade resects the foreskin instantly, while a single row of titanium staples penetrates the inner and outer foreskin layers and is crimped into a "B" shape to achieve hemostasis and anastomosis. The whole procedure is finished within minutes.
Key Components of a circumcision device
- Glans cover (anvil): Protects the glans, positions the coronal sulcus, and forms the staple crimping groove.
- Staple cartridge & pusher: Holds titanium staples and drives them during firing.
- Circular cutting knife: Integrated with the cartridge to resect excess foreskin.
- Adjusting knob: Adjusts clamping thickness and fits different penis sizes.
- Handle & transmission mechanism: Provides firing force for synchronized cutting and stapling.
- Titanium alloy staples: Suture the incision, achieve hemostasis, and fall off naturally 2–3 weeks postoperatively.
Operating Procedure
- Preparation: Disinfection, local anesthesia, and lysis of adhesions if needed.
- Positioning and clamping: Place the glans cover over the glans, wrap the foreskin around it, adjust and tighten the knob.
- Release safety lock and fire the device.
- Simultaneous action: The circular knife resects the foreskin while titanium staples form a "B" shape to suture the wound.
- Maintain compression for about 10 seconds for hemostasis, then remove the device and dress the wound.
2. Specifications & Models
Specifications are mainly distinguished by circular knife diameter (mm), with corresponding models for pediatric and adult use.
Sizes 12 are for children under 5 years old
